The Worthy Institute, LLC, has extensive experience in public speaking, youth advocacy, health education and community activism across the state of Arizona. The Worthy Institute serves as a leader in the community for addressing public health issues, examining health disparities and providing education about cultural competency and diverse populations.  Founder and CEO, Rasheda Worthy has provided services nationally since 2003 including keynote engagements in Richmond, Virginia, Atlanta, Georgia and Phoenix, Arizona. 

 

In 2008, The Worthy Institute was honored with the Community Angaza Award.  Additional recognition for The Worthy Institute includes; Roosevelt School District “2007 Excellent Service Provider Recognition”, The Phoenix Business Journal “2007 Forty under 40 Award”, BizAZ Magazine, “2007 35 under 35 Entrepreneur of the Year” and Glamour Magazine, “Woman of the Year Finalist”. 

 

Staff engagements include featured panelists at the National African American Relationships Conference in Atlanta, Georgia in 2004 presenting on African American relationships and the impact on health status.  Other featured speaking and training include; presenting “Racial and Ethnic Populations and Obesity” at KTAR’s 2006 Linking Sports and Communities Conference hosted at the University of Phoenix Stadium;  presentation on “Culture and Diversity” at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona and speaking at Arizona State University West for their 2007 Women’s History Month where women’s health issues were addressed.  Recently, Worthy Institute was a featured speaker at the 2007 Arizona Public Health Association Conference speaking about the importance of childhood obesity, culture and diversity and poverty.  Experienced staff continues to provide training for organizations such as Girls Scouts of Arizona, Arizona State Child Protective Services and Phoenix Union High School District.
